He wrote me back! I'm so flattered. Reminds me of when Alfonso Arau wrote me way back when I wrote him how much I loved Water for Chocolate and A Walk in the Clouds. Still can't believe he is El Gaupo!
Dear Sir,
I had the lovely good fortune of working in New Orleans the week I picked up your book “Moth”. Almost a surreal experience as I found myself strolling down the same streets as Lew Griffin. I enjoyed your book very much and am eagerly awaiting “Long Legged Fly” via e-bay. First fan letter I’ve ever written, hope it meets with your approval.
Sincerely,
Melanie Bryan
Well, it's always good to be discovered, and I'm delighted that you enjoyed Moth -- certainly you read it under ideal conditions. I hope you'll enjoy the others as much. All six Lew Griffin novels are in pre-production, probably as a mini-series. Meanwhile, shooting begins this month in L.A. on another of my books, Drive. The newest novel, The Killer Is Dying, will be out in May.
Thank you, Melanie, for taking the time to write.
Jim
